My name is Adele; I live in Charlotte, NC, and I love working with young people who’d like to understand math better, gain confidence in their math abilities, or who just want to survive math class.

Guidance and support are individualized. I work with students in Pre-Algebra, Math 1 through 4, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus I.

She is not only an incredible tutor but one of the most pure hearted humans you'll ever meet and I hope everyone gets the chance to meet a rare soul like her. She was meant to teach and guide. I will be forever grateful for her help. After my first year with her, I was able to start achieving straights A's in math but I had also gained confidence. She has become a life long mentor. About Me

I have worked with students in math, as both a classroom teacher and a private tutor, for 20 years. I have a passion for connecting with people as human beings, who are having human experiences, thus normalizing struggle and supporting a growth mindframe.

I aspire to create safe learning spaces, and judgement-free zones, where negative beliefs transform and where who you are and the way you think makes sense.

I find value in pausing to re-connect in the moments when our stress response is active so that we can make choices that align with our values and our goals.

I believe that everyone can learn math.

I will help you to:

develop your math skills and ability to apply them,
have positive experiences learning that you can draw upon in the future,
have patience with yourself,
become a more confident learner,
enjoy math more!

My own life experiences as a math student, mechanical engineering major, math teacher, mother, and mindful communication practitioner come together to provide attuned support, meeting students where they are at, and helping them move in the direction of where they want to go.

I currently work with students in Myers Park, South Charlotte, Ballantyne, Pineville, Waxhaw and Fort Mill in all levels of math, up through Calculus. Sessions are offered in-person. Zoom tutoring is available by request.

As a certified professional transformation coach and student of nonviolent communication and relational neuroscience, I also offer interpersonal support for working through difficult situations in personally and culturally transformative ways.
